About this resource
Three months of a self-contained classroom, planned. March, April and May together, at 35% off buying them one at a time.
You open the packet to today, print what is behind the plan page, and teach it. Every one of the 180 lessons has its own printable plan page with a word-for-word script on it. Not a topic, not a suggestion of what to talk about — the actual sentences, in quotation marks, that you read out loud. A substitute or a paraprofessional who has never seen the lesson can pick the page up cold and run it.
WHAT IS IN THE BUNDLE — 3 PDFs, 654 pages
- March Print and Go, Month 7 — 218 pages, 20 days. Math is a two-step story problem every day inside 1 to 20: adding twice (week 1), taking away twice (week 2), add then take away (week 3), a mixed week 4. Reading opens the long-E vowel teams: EE words, then EA words, then EE/EA/EY together, then Fry's sixth ten sight words with short two-sentence passages. Social skills works on staying flexible when a plan changes: handling an unexpected change, switching activities, going along with someone else's change, and a mixed review.
- April Print and Go, Month 8 — 218 pages, 20 days. Math is a compare story problem every day — two groups, a question about the difference — more (week 1), fewer (week 2), how many more to make them match (week 3), a mixed week 4. Reading opens the long-A and long-O vowel teams: AI words, then AY words in sentences, then OA and OW reviewed with AI and AY, then Fry's seventh ten sight words with comprehension and a month check. Social skills works through making a mistake and trying again, hearing "no" or "not right now," waiting for a turn or for help, and good listening and kind words.
- May Print and Go, Month 9 — 218 pages, 20 days. Math is a change story problem every day — one group, one change, a question about the number the story does not say: how many came (week 1), how many went away (week 2), how many there were at first (week 3), a mixed week 4. Reading opens the long-I spellings and the OO and UE/EW spellings: IGH, IE and Y words, then OO words, then UE and EW words in sentences reviewed with OO and long I, then Fry's eighth ten sight words. Social skills works through asking before I borrow something, doing my part in a group, behaving at special places at school, and telling the truth and owning up.
Across the three files: 60 days, 180 lesson plan pages, 420 student pages, 24 answer key pages, 12 week dividers, and a month-at-a-glance map and a start-up guide in each file.
How The Three Months Fit
April picks up exactly where March stops, and May picks up exactly where April stops. The page layout does not change across any of the three — a student who has learned how the March pages work does not relearn them in April or May — and the skills advance: a single two-step problem becomes a compare problem becomes a change problem, one vowel-team ring becomes the next becomes the next, one social ring becomes the next becomes the next. Each month also works on its own: a class that never saw an earlier month can still start on its Day 1.
What Is On Every Plan Page
- The objective, written the way an IEP goal is written on the math and reading pages; the social objective is one plain sentence.
- SAY THIS — the script. Spoken lines are in quotation marks; the lighter lines are stage directions telling you what to hold up or do with your hands.
- What each of the three levels actually gives the student, so you can pick without printing all three to compare.
- IF A STUDENT IS STUCK — things you can do in the next ten seconds, at the table, without fetching anything.
- A data box. Student, correct, out of, date, and how much help: independent, verbal prompt, model, hand over hand. It is on the plan page rather than a separate data sheet, because a separate data sheet does not get filled in.
- A notes box at the foot for what you actually saw.
- A TRY IT IN THE ROOM TODAY box: one concrete thing to do that day, in the room or at home, so the skill leaves the paper.
How The Three Levels Work
Math and reading come at three levels every single day. Social skills is one page a day.
Level 1 — three items, and the strip carries two extra pieces that belong to no box, so even the first page is a real choice of five.
Level 2 — four items and one spare piece on the strip that belongs to nothing. The student has to reject something instead of matching everything.
Level 3 — the supports are gone. No cue, no printed model, and the items are chosen to be confusable rather than convenient.
The level is marked by a row of dots, not a word. No student page says "Level 1," so no page announces itself as the easy one.
A Note On The Social Skills Pages
In all three months, the cards on the social skills pages are short printed sentences that the teacher reads aloud, not pictures, and every script tells you to read them before anybody picks up scissors. That is on purpose. The lessons are about people, events and decisions — a change to today's plan, hearing "no," waiting for a turn, asking before you borrow — and a decorative icon that does not name the sentence hands a non-reader a shape cue instead of a skill. Reading and math pages are picture-led wherever a picture honestly applies.
Format
Three print-and-go PDFs. Scissors and a glue stick is the entire materials list for all three months. Nothing to laminate, no counters, no cards to cut apart in advance — the student does the cutting, and the cutting is part of the work.
Not A Calendar
Nothing in here is tied to a date. Day 1 is the first day you teach it. If you start partway through the month, or you skip a day, or the whole thing runs long, it still works.
