Privacy
We keep this short because we collect very little.
What we collect
When you buy, Stripe processes your payment. We never see or store your card number. We receive your email address and a record of what you bought, which is how your library works. When you ask for a sign-in link, we use your email to send it.
When you ask for a free resource, we keep your email address and which resources you downloaded. If you tick the box, we may email you about new free resources; every email has a way to stop them.
When you use the Probe Builder, the goals you type (and any initials or date) are sent to Anthropic's AI service to match each goal to a measure, and are stored with your packet for up to 30 days, then deleted. Please use initials, never a student's full name. Anthropic does not use this to train its models.
When you use the Book Builder, the book title, author and month you type are sent to Anthropic's AI service, which searches the web for the book, and are stored with your packet for up to 30 days, then deleted. Book titles typed into the Book Builder may also be used to create theme weeks we add to our own store, on TPT and here — no personal information is involved, and the Probe Builder (which handles student IEP goals) is never used this way.
If you ask either builder to email you a link to finish on your computer, we send that one email to the address you give and keep what you had typed (not your email address) for 14 days so the link can fill it back in, then delete it. It doesn't add you to any list.
Every downloaded file carries a license number in its footer. It is not your name or email; it lets us trace a copy that ends up shared or resold back to the license it came from.
How we measure the site
We count visits with our own simple analytics, stored on our own server: the page, the site that sent you, any campaign tags in the link, whether you're on a phone, and a random ID kept in your browser so repeat visits aren't double-counted. We also record how the pages get used: which links and buttons are clicked (their label and where they go), how far down a page you scroll, how long a page is open, when a form is started or sent (which form, never what you typed), and pages that weren't found. We never record what you type, the part of a link after "?", or anything from inside the Probe Builder's, Book Builder's or Present Levels Builder's goals and results.
Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity)
On most pages we use Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used: it records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement as a replay, and builds heatmaps, so we can find what's confusing and fix it. Clarity sets its own cookies to group a visit's pages together. Microsoft's privacy statement covers what it does with the data: privacy.microsoft.com.
What Clarity never gets: anything typed into any box, email addresses, and everything in the Probe Builder's and Book Builder's forms and results (the goals, initials and dates you type and the packet built from them). Those parts are masked in the page, so they are never sent to Clarity. Clarity is not loaded at all on the Present Levels Builder, so nothing on that page is recorded, or on your library page.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your information and we don't run advertising trackers. Our own cookie only keeps you signed in (one more is set only on the store's own devices, so our visits are left out of the visitor counts). Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies on the pages where it runs, as described above.
Deleting your information
Email hello@brightpathsped.com and we'll delete your account record. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.
