About this resource
The first week of school, a child is asked to tell the class about themselves, and a blank page is a hard place to start. These all about me worksheets give a kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade child a picture box to draw in and a printed beginning to finish: "My name is", "My favorite color is", "I can". Five kinds of page, so the work can grow from one drawing to five sentences, plus the log, class grid and family note around it.

Built For The Child Holding The Page
A big "My name" line, one short instruction with a small pencil icon, large rounded type, and lines with real spacing (a solid top line, a dashed midline and a solid baseline). Nothing on a student page is written for an adult, there is no score, and no student page needs scissors or glue. Every page has its own title so a child can see which one they are on.
Keeps It To What A Child Chooses
The pages ask about favorites, things a child can do, and people and places they choose to name. There is no line for an address, a phone number, a birthday or anything about health, and a child may leave any line blank.
Type In, Or Print
The name and date lines, every ruled line, the log, class grid and family note are type-in fields in any PDF reader, so you can type a word onto a line before you print. The drawing boxes are left empty for drawing. Every page prints clean in black and white. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
Who This Is For
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade classrooms, self-contained and resource rooms, back-to-school weeks, writing centers, and tutors who want a get-to-know-you page. Your district's own writing expectations decide how many lines to ask for and when.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
Draw-and-write pages with the record-keeping around them. It is not a handwriting program, a timed test, a screener or a clinical tool, and it makes no claim about any student's age or rate of progress. There is no IEP goal language or eligibility wording anywhere in the file.
