About this resource

Take attendance with a question every child can answer. Show a Question of the Day card, name each picture, and let children point, move a name card or say the word. Answering is how a child says "I am here." 60 picture question cards in color and black and white, 46 pages in all, print and go.

EVERYTHING INSIDE (46 pages)

How To Use It

Print a sheet at 100 percent, trim the cards on their solid lines (each card is the same size, edge to edge, so every cut is one straight line) and laminate. Put one card on the sign each morning. Children point or move a name card to the picture they pick. Count the answers together and write them on the tally.

Built For Little Hands And Early Readers

Every choice is a picture with its word under it. Yes or no cards need no reading. The student pages have a big "My name" line, one short direction with a picture and room to draw.

Type In, Or Print

The blank cards, tally, roll-up, family note, helper guide and student pages have type-in fields in any PDF reader (263 fields in all). You can also print any page and write by hand. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file, and the question cards are not editable.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

Question cards and working pages for a morning meeting. It does not replace your school's attendance steps. The example class is invented.
