About this resource
Three behavior contracts written with the student, not for them, free, print and go: a simple contract for the youngest students, a standard behavior contract with a check-in schedule and three signatures, a home-school contract with a school side and a home side, plus the ten-day check-in sheet the points go on and the weekly review that keeps, changes or ends the contract.
WHAT IS INCLUDED - 9 pages, 3 contracts, a check-in sheet and a review
- Simple Contract - for primary students: I will, my teacher will, when I do this I earn, we will check on, a box for a picture, 11 big handwriting lines, and two signatures (student and teacher)
- Standard Behavior Contract - the elementary layout: my goal in one sentence, what it looks like (what a teacher would see and hear), what I earn and how many points it costs, a 3-row check-in schedule (when, who, points each time, where the marks go), points needed, over how many days, review date, and student, teacher and family signatures
- Home-School Contract - 5 parts with a school column and a home column (the behavior in the same words on both sides, what the adults do, what the student earns, how we tell each other how it went, who checks), what the student says about it, 3 week-by-week rows, the review date and how the family joins it, and three signatures
- Daily Check-In Sheet - 10 school days for any contract: date, met or not, points earned, points possible, initials, a note, and a total row that the contract's goal is checked against, with a box for days that were different
- Weekly Contract Review - the week's numbers, what worked (the student says first), what did not, one of three decisions (keep, change, end) with what changes written down, the earn, what the family is told, the next review date, and two signatures
- How to Use These Five Pages - a table matching the student and the situation to the page, three numbered steps, the four parts every contract has, the marks the check-in sheet uses, and the Friday habit
The Full Pack
What This Is Not
Not a behavior plan, not a discipline policy, and not a list of strategies. It does not say which students should have a contract, what the goal number should be, or what happens when a contract is not met; each of those is your team's decision, and each has a blank to write it on. It is a print PDF: nothing here adds the points or checks the goal, and it is not a Google Doc or a spreadsheet.
Who This Is For
Special education teachers and case managers, behavior interventionists, school counselors and social workers, and general education teachers who have been asked to write a behavior contract with one student.
