About this resource

Feed the turkey! Cut open the turkey's mouth, pick a card, and feed that many pompoms (or paper food) to a hungry turkey. This print-and-go Thanksgiving counting game has a big turkey face mat, number cards 1 to 10 in three levels, record pages for circling the number and marking an X on that many pieces of food, counting pages, a writing page, and a make-your-own-turkey cut and glue craft.

How To Play

1. Cut out the mouth of the turkey mat and tape the mat to the front of a box.

2. Pick a card. Count out that many pompoms (or small paper balls).

3. Feed them to the turkey one at a time, saying each number.

4. Record: circle the number and mark an X on that many pieces of food.

Three Levels Of Cards

Each set has 10 cards, 30 cards in all. Start a child on dots and move up when feeding is easy.

WHAT'S INSIDE (16 pages)

You will need: pompoms (or paper scraps, cotton balls or small paper balls), a small box, scissors, crayons and glue sticks. Choose the size of the food by your own classroom's safety rules. This is a PDF to print; it is not fillable and is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
