About this resource
Sunday night and the week is not planned. This is a fillable lesson plan template for a general education classroom: a one-page daily plan, a formal plan, a weekly plan by subject and by day, a unit overview and a pacing calendar, then the pages to look back and tell home.
EVERYTHING INSIDE — 22 pages
- A Start Here page, a contents page and a filled-in example lesson and week
- A binder cover with a spine strip (title, teacher and school-year fields) and a page of 6 divider tabs to cut out: one for each of the three sections, plus 3 blank tabs you name yourself
- Plan a lesson: a one-page daily plan (objective, a standards line you fill in, materials, 5 lesson parts, instruction checkboxes, assessment, and approaching, on level and enrichment boxes, plus reflection), a formal plan with an essential question and I do, we do, you do steps, and a small-group plan with 5 group rows
- Plan the week and the unit: a weekly plan by subject (6 subject rows and a notes row, Monday to Friday), a weekly plan by day (5 rows with objective, activities, materials and assessment), a unit overview with 8 lesson rows, a 7-week pacing calendar and a weekly prep and copies checklist
- Look back and report: a lesson reflection, a week roll-up, a standards tracker with 16 rows, a weekly update for families, and a phrase bank of 30 starters in 5 groups
- One page the children fill in: an exit ticket with a My name line, a place to write what they learned, one question and a box to draw
- A "what's next" back page
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the pages in Adobe Reader or Preview, or print them and use a pen. It works offline with no account or subscription. The pages are a PDF, so you cannot drag the boxes around or restyle the pages. It is not a Google Slides, Google Docs or PowerPoint file.
It is working paper for your own planning. It does not say what your state or district requires in a plan. The standards line, the pacing rules and any required wording are blanks for you to fill in. Nothing is pre-filled about any student. The example teacher, class and numbers are invented and say so on the page.
Who This Is For
Kindergarten through 5th grade classroom teachers who want one set of plan pages for the lesson, the week and the unit, and teachers who share a grade level and want the same layout.
