About this resource
Multiplication facts with 0, 1, 2, 5 and 10, one page for each. Every fact-set page shows the same idea three ways: a count-by pattern to finish, equal groups drawn as rings of dots to count, and the written fact to fill in. Then mixed review, the missing number, right or wrong, match it, and cut and match. Every student page has a big "My name" line, one short instruction, and answer boxes made for a child's handwriting. Untimed: no clock, no score on the page.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (29 pages: 13 student pages, 16 for you)
- 89 printed problems covering all 45 facts that have 0, 1, 2, 5 or 10 as one factor and the other factor from 0 to 10, answers from 0 to 100, all computed in code
- Look: one picture and one rule for each of the five sets (1 page)
- Fact Set: one page each for x0, x1, x2, x5 and x10. Each has a pattern with 2 blanks, 3 drawn-group pictures to count and 6 facts to fill in (5 pages, 55 answers to write)
- Mixed Review A: 8 facts from all five sets, with a "My work" space for each (1 page)
- Mixed Review B: the missing number, 6 problems with a "My work" space for each (1 page)
- Right or Wrong: 6 printed answers, 2 right and 4 wrong; circle one and write the right answer (1 page)
- Match It: 6 problems matched to 6 lettered dot pictures, then 6 facts matched to 6 lettered answers (2 pages)
- Cut and Match: six pieces a page in a 3 by 2 block, three straight cuts; answers glued to facts, then facts glued to dot pictures (12 pieces, 2 pages)
- 3 answer keys, a tracker (12 scored pages, 99 items), a class grid, a team note, a home page with blank boxes for the family to draw in, a filled example (an invented student), a phrase and strategy bank (17 starters), a binder cover and 6 divider tabs with a spine label
- Start Here, a how-it-works page and a "What's next" back page
Built For The Child, Not The Office
Every student page has a big "My name" line, one short instruction with a picture (a pencil, a circle or scissors), rounded boxes made for a child's handwriting, and plenty of room. Mixed Review has a work space under every problem. Everything for you (directions, answer keys, scoring) is on separate teacher pages. No clip art: the only pictures are the rings of dots, drawn in the file.
Three Levels, Marked By Dots
One dot: starting (Look, x0 and x1, dots to problem, answers to facts). Two dots: building (x2, x5 and x10, mixed facts, right or wrong). Three dots: ready for more (the missing number). The dots are the only level code, so children at one table are not comparing papers.
Every Item Is Computed
Every pattern, every product, every wrong answer on the Right or Wrong page and every row of the three answer keys is read from the same two numbers that draw the page. There is no second, hand-typed key. Facts are printed both ways round (3 x 5 and 5 x 3). Where an answer sits (the blanks in a pattern, the letter in a match, right or wrong, the piece under a box) is placed by a seeded shuffle that rejects any order a child could guess. Each wrong answer on Right or Wrong has one slip (one group too many or too few, the other number written for a x0 fact, or the zero dropped from a x10 fact), and the key says which.
Type In, Or Print
The name and date lines, every answer box, the tracker, class grid, team note and home page are type-in fields in any PDF reader; the rings, patterns and cut pieces are always printed. Every page also prints clean in black and white. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides, Google Docs or PowerPoint file.
Who This Is For
Third grade teachers, special education and resource room teachers, interventionists, and families who want the same practice at home, with the tracking and home pages already made. Also useful as review for older students who are still building these facts.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
An untimed practice set for the easiest multiplication facts, with the record-keeping around it. It is not a timed fluency probe or a goal page, not a full math curriculum, and not a claim about any student's grade level or rate of progress. Every fact has 0, 1, 2, 5 or 10 as a factor and the other factor is 0 to 10; there are no facts with 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 9 on both sides, no division and no word problems.
