- Make My Own Routine: draw and write the 4 steps of a routine your room does differently
- My Routine Check: 30 circles (6 routines, 5 days) the student colors when they do all four steps
- How to Teach a Routine: five short moves (say it, show it, try it, notice it, do it again) with space for your own class rule
- A routine list with the 4 steps of all 20 routines and an answer key for the step cards
- A class routines planner and checklist: all 20 routines with columns for taught on, practiced on, class knows it and notes
- A routine log (20 rows: date, when, routine, all 4 steps Y/N, initials)
- A weekly roll-up (8 weeks) with a percent graph
- A filled example: an invented student, one week on the log, three weeks on the roll-up and the routines that came up most
- A family page with 6 small routine cards to cut apart and a note home
- A hand-off page so a paraprofessional or another classroom uses the same cards the same way

- A storage and binder label sheet: 12 labels and a spine strip
- Start Here, a contents page that maps every page, and a "what's next" back page
The Posters And Cards
Each routine is the same four-step shape, so the class learns how to read one and can read them all. Hang the poster for the routine you are teaching this week, tape a desk card to a student's desk, or keep a set of cards in a pocket. Your classroom's own rules come first: use a blank card to write your own steps.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the name lines, the planner, the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.
Who This Is For
Classroom teachers, special education teachers, paraprofessionals and substitutes who want the routines of the day written down and pictured, for PreK-5, and the families who get the home page.
