About this resource
Thanksgiving coloring sheets that a PreK, kindergarten or self-contained class can all use at once, because the pages come in three levels. Every page is one big picture to color: a turkey, a pumpkin, a pie, a squirrel, a scarecrow and more, all drawn for this pack with heavy, clean outlines. Every student page has a big My name line and one short instruction with a picture, so a paraprofessional can hand it out and walk away.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (27 pages)
- 1 Start Here page: what is inside, the three levels, ways to use the pages
- 7 starting-level coloring pages (circle): pumpkin, leaf, acorn, apple, pie, corn, turkey. Big simple shapes, and the child traces the word under the picture
- 6 building-level coloring pages (square): turkey, cornucopia, squirrel, hat, sunflower, basket. More parts, thinner lines; the child traces the word and copies it on a line
- 7 ready-for-more coloring pages (triangle): turkey, cornucopia, scarecrow, boat, plate, leaves, pumpkins. Small spaces and patterns; the child writes the two colors used in a sentence
- 1 harvest scene to color: a tree with a squirrel, a table with a pie and a pumpkin, a turkey, falling leaves, corn and a cornucopia
- 1 draw-and-write page: I am thankful for
- 1 class tracker (Who Colored What) with a row for each of 9 children
- 1 family letter with a take-home thankful activity
- 1 credits page
That is 20 single-picture coloring pages plus the harvest scene to color in.
Three Levels, Marked With Shapes
The level is marked by a circle, a square or a triangle next to the name line instead of a number, so children at one table are not comparing papers. The turkey appears at all three levels, so you can see the difference side by side.
What The Pictures Are
Harvest and kitchen-table pictures. There are no people, no costumes and no holiday history lessons in this pack; teach that with your own materials. Black and white outlines with almost no solid black, so they print light on ink.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
A print-and-color PDF, one page per child. It is not a fillable PDF and it is not Google Slides or a PowerPoint file. The fonts are KA Fonts and the clip-art kids on the teacher, family and credit pages are Whimsy Clips; the file is secured so the art cannot be lifted out of it.
Who This Is For
PreK, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade teachers, and special education teachers who need Thanksgiving coloring at more than one level for a self-contained or resource room.
How To Use It
Print one page per child at the level that fits today. Use the harvest scene as a whole-group page, then the thankful page. Staple a few pages with the family letter to send home.
