Thanksgiving door decor for a classroom door or bulletin board: a big turkey that prints on four letter pages and tapes together, 24 feather strips for the children to draw or write on, a WE ARE THANKFUL! banner, 32 leaves and 8 name tags. Print, color, cut and glue. Every student page has one short instruction with a picture, and every cutting page lays its pieces edge to edge so each cut is one straight line.

Four Feather Levels, Marked With Shapes

The feathers come at four levels, marked with a circle, a square or a triangle instead of a number, so children at one table are not comparing papers. The sentence "I am thankful for" is already printed on every feather.

Cutting Built For Small Hands

All 82 cut pieces (24 feathers, 18 flags, 32 leaves and 8 name tags) sit edge to edge on a grid of 6, 9, 16 or 8 to a page, so every cut is one straight line, and every piece is at least 1.85 inches on a side. The turkey body is trimmed and taped, not cut out in pieces.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

A print-and-cut PDF: print every page at full size on letter paper, color the body, cut the feathers, flags, leaves and tags, and hang them on a door or bulletin board. The turkey, feathers, leaves and name tags are drawn for this kit; the children on a few pages are Whimsy Clips art and the fonts are KA Fonts. The file is secured so the art cannot be lifted out of it. It is not a fillable PDF, and it is not Google Slides or a PowerPoint file.

How To Use It

Print, color, cut, glue. Tape the four body pages together, hang the feathers behind the turkey, put the banner across the top, and fill in with leaves. Smaller space? Use the little turkey page for each child and hang them in rows under the banner.
