About this resource
A fillable, plain-language tally sheet built for the one question an AAC caseload review keeps coming back to: how often, and WHICH core words, did this student actually use this week — not a planned teaching trial scored right or wrong, but a tally of naturally-occurring use, checked against every setting the student moves through (home, classroom, community, therapy). No system, app, or branded vocabulary set is named anywhere in this file.
WHAT IS INCLUDED - 23 pages, 627 type-in fields
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a line, a box or a cell, type, press Tab to move on, and Save As once per student. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc or an Excel workbook, and it does not score a word as mastered or decide which word to add next.
It is not a vocabulary set, a device manual, or a therapy program, and it is not a trial-based teaching or testing sheet — it tracks naturally-occurring USE, not a planned right-or-wrong trial. No specific AAC system, app or branded vocabulary set is named anywhere in this file; systems are described generically (a core board, a communication book, a speech-generating device or app). This is not the store's AAC Data Collection Sheets Editable, a twenty-sheet combo covering core word trials, communicative function, modeling, requesting, navigation and device use; this file is the narrower cut that tallies how often each core word was actually used and checks that use against every setting, instead of a planned trial block. It is also not a communication board or picture vocabulary set — nothing in this file is handed to the student to point at.
Who This Is For
SLPs, special education teachers, and paraprofessionals supporting a student who uses AAC (a core board, communication book, or speech-generating device), who want to know how often and which core words are actually being used across the student's week, not a scored trial or a navigation checklist. If a caseload also needs trial data, communicative function or device-navigation tracking, the wider combo covers those; if the question is frequency and generalization of core word use, this file goes deeper on it alone.
