About this resource
Articulation coloring sheets for eight sounds: B, D, K, L, M, P, S and T, in initial position (every word starts with the sound). Each sound has three pages: a coloring page with 12 outline pictures, each labeled with its word and five circles to color while the child says the word five times; a Say & Find scene, a busy picture where the child says each word five times, then finds that picture and colors it; and a one-page practice week for homework. Print, hand out, and walk away: every student page has a big My name line and one short instruction with a picture.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (37 pages)
- 1 Start Here page: what is inside, three steps, which page for which job
- 1 sounds-and-words list: all 96 words by sound, with page numbers and a space for words you add or skip
- 1 colored-in example (an invented student, Sam) so you can see a finished page
- 8 coloring pages, one for each sound: 12 black-and-white pictures each, 96 pictures to color in all, every one labeled with its word, with five circles under each picture
- 8 Say & Find scenes, one for each sound: the same 12 pictures scattered at different sizes and tilts, each once, plus 5 small pictures from other sounds to skip, 17 pictures a scene, with a key at the bottom showing each word, its picture and five circles
- 8 practice week pages, one for each sound: the 12 words with small pictures, and seven day strips (Monday to Sunday) with five stars to color and a place for a grown-up's initials
- 1 class tracker (My Sounds) with 14 rows, a column for each of the 8 sounds and a notes column
- Sound-folder organizer: 1 binder cover with name and teacher lines, 1 binder spine to cut out, and 2 sheets of divider tabs (4 per sheet, one for each of the 8 sounds, with a letter and four of its pictures)

- 1 family note with blanks for your own plan (the sound, the words, how often, return date)
- 1 what's-next page showing covers of related speech sound resources
- 1 credits page

How It Works
The child says a word five times, colors a circle for each time, then colors the picture. On a Say & Find page the child picks a word from the key, says it five times, finds the picture in the scene and colors it. The circles are a place to count, not a score. For homework, send home the practice week page with the family note: the child colors a star each day and a grown-up initials it.
What This Set Is And Is Not
It is a print-and-color set of black-and-white pictures for speech and language practice, initial position only. It has no assessment, no scoring and no directions for teaching a sound; you decide which sounds and words each child practices. R, N, F, G, SH, CH and TH are not in this set. It is a PDF to print, not a fillable PDF, and not Google Slides or a PowerPoint file.
The Look
Black-and-white outline pictures from Whimsy Clips, one set of art on every page, so they print light and give each child plenty of room to color. Fonts are KA Fonts. The file is secured so the art cannot be lifted out of it.
Who This Is For
Speech-language pathologists, special education teachers and paraprofessionals working with PreK through 3rd grade students, and families doing homework with a child.
