About this resource
EVERYTHING INSIDE — 17 pages
- 24 bathroom, restroom and hall pass cards and other passes in full color: 12 on page 5 (4 Bathroom Pass, 4 Restroom Pass, 4 Hall Pass) and 12 on page 6 (3 Water Break, 3 Nurse Pass, 3 Office Pass, 3 Library Pass). Each has a picture, a plain sentence a child can read, and a Name line and a Time out line you can type on. They meet edge to edge, so a page is two cuts down and three across
- A sign-out log for the week: 18 rows with Day, Name, Where, Time Out, Time In and Minutes, and a blank line for your own pass rule
- A day sheet: 14 rows for one day, handy for a substitute, with a place to note who is out right now
- A class tracker with a roll-up: 16 student rows by Monday to Friday, trips this week, and class totals
- How We Use the Pass: five numbered steps children can read, with a blank box for your class rule
- My Pass Plan: a page a child fills in (My name, a good time to go, four boxes to color, a drawing box, three faces to circle)
- A door sign and a pass hook card
- A note home with blanks in your own words
- A phrase bank of 32 starters in 8 groups
- A filled example: six invented students, one week, every total re-added from its own row
- A binder cover, a spine label and 8 cut-apart tabs
- Start Here, a contents page with page thumbnails, and a "what's next" back page
A bathroom pass file for the whole routine, not just the cards. Most pass packs stop at a few cards. This one also gives you the log, a day sheet, a tracker, the page that teaches children how it works, and a way to tell families.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the cards, logs, tracker and note, or print and use a pen. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Slides, Google Docs or PowerPoint file, and you cannot drag the boxes around or restyle the pages.
It is the working paper for a classroom pass routine. It does not say how many passes a child may have, when, or who may go. That is your classroom's and your school's rule, and it gets a blank line. The tracker counts trips; it does not score a child. No health information is filled in. The example students are invented and say so on the page.

Who This Is For
Kindergarten through 5th grade classroom teachers, paraprofessionals and substitutes who manage hall, bathroom and water passes, and the families who get the note home.
