About this resource
The posted strip-and-board version of these same six techniques stays where it is posted. This file prints no strip and no board: the same twelve cut-apart cards, cut small, punched near the top edge and threaded onto a one-inch book ring, so the techniques travel on a lanyard or belt clip with whoever is wearing them — into the hallway, the cafeteria, specials, a bus line, or anywhere a posted version is not within reach.
THE TECHNIQUES (reused verbatim from the posted version, same words and pictures)
1. Balloon Breathing — Balloon, Balloon (let go)
2. Flower and Candle Breathing — Flower, Candle
3. Rainbow Breathing — Rainbow, Rainbow (tracing)
4. Star Breathing — Star, Star (tracing down)
5. Snail Breathing — Snail, Shell
6. Five-Finger Breathing — Hand, Hand (tracing down)
Within one technique the two steps happen in order — breathe in, then breathe out. Across the six techniques, which one to offer is a choice made fresh each time, the same way the posted version already works; this file does not fix an order across techniques. All twelve cards print on one ring sheet per color style (twelve is this product's own one-page capacity, well over the five-piece cutting minimum), so nothing here is split across two "part A / part B" sheets the way a shorter bank sometimes is.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. The card sheet prints on cardstock or plain paper, cuts along dashed lines, and punches near the top edge for a one-inch book ring (sold separately). It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.
It is a way for an adult to carry the same six breathing techniques a posted version already teaches, so they travel from room to room, and to write down which technique was practiced and whether it needed a prompt. It is not a behavior plan, a therapy technique or a program of any kind, and it does not claim any technique calms, regulates, or works for every student. It supplies no prompt hierarchy, fading schedule or mastery rule. The goal line and the criterion field are blanks for your district's own wording and your team's own number.
Who This Is For
Special education teachers, paraprofessionals and specials teachers who already offer these six breathing techniques and need them to travel with a roving adult — the hallway monitor, the cafeteria duty staff, the specials teacher, the substitute — plus the case managers who need that use to show up as data, and the families who get the home page sent home.
More In The Collection
This single sits alongside Breathing Exercise Visual Cards for Calm-Down Corner Editable (the posted strip and board version of the same six techniques), Calm-Down Steps Wearable Ring Cards (the same ring mechanic for a fixed four-step calm-down sequence), and Feelings Check-In Wearable Ring Cards; more picture-card sets — schedule cards, routine strips, choice boards — are being added to the collection regularly, all on the same cards-plus-data shape.
