About this resource
One place for the class list paperwork every classroom teacher rebuilds every August: a full roster with family contact information, a privacy-safe quick-reference version with no personal details, a seating chart, a back-to-school family information form, a welcome letter, a parent contact log, a class snapshot and a notes page — all fillable, all printable. Type it once, print it again whenever a page fills up.
WHAT IS INCLUDED - 16 pages, 440 type-in fields
Start Here
- Start Here — Three Steps - what this file is, what it is not, and which page to open for which job
- What Is Inside, and Where - a contents page with real page thumbnails and a short legend on the two rosters
Section 1 — Roster & Seating
- Full Class Roster & Family Contact Information - 20 rows: student, parent/guardian, phone, email, emergency contact and phone, birthday (month/day only), an allergy/medical-note column that starts blank, and a bus/dismissal note
- Substitute-Ready Quick Reference Roster - 19 rows: student, seat/table, and one need-to-know note each, with no phone numbers, emails or addresses, built to be left on the desk for anyone covering the room
- Seating Chart - a 30-seat grid, five across, with a blank line in every seat and a note card for why the arrangement was chosen
Worked Example
- A filled-in example for an invented class of six students (Ms. Rivera's, all invented), the full roster, the quick-reference roster built from it, and the class snapshot counts, every number checked against the rows above it
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a line, a box or a cell, and type; press Tab to move on, and Save As for your own copy. It works offline with no account or subscription, and every page also prints blank for a pen. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc or an Excel workbook, and it does not calculate anything for you — every count on the snapshot page is read off the roster by hand.
It is not a lesson-plan file, a gradebook, or a curriculum, and it does not set any school or district's own policy for pickup, attendance, communication or records — every place a building's own rule belongs stays a blank line. No health information is pre-filled anywhere: the allergy/medical-note column is always empty in the template.
Who This Is For
Any K-12 classroom teacher setting up a new class list at the start of the year, and anyone else who needs a privacy-safe version of the same roster: a substitute, a specialist, or a front-office copy.
