About this resource

The same nine cues a classroom chart or board already teaches, cut to a small card, punched near the top edge and threaded onto a one-inch book ring, so it travels on a lanyard or belt clip with whoever is wearing it — into the cafeteria, specials, recess, a fire-drill line, or anywhere a stationary chart is not within reach.

The Cards

Cards are 2 inches square; a hole punched near the top edge, inside the dashed cut line, keeps the picture and the word clear of the ring.

The Ring Sheets

No chart at all: every card prints at the same 2-inch size, so a card from any sheet sits on the ring next to a card from any other sheet without a size mismatch.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF: type into the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. The card sheets print on cardstock or plain paper, cut along dashed lines, and punch near the top edge for a one-inch book ring (sold separately). It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.

It is a way for an adult to offer the same classroom directions a wall chart already teaches, in a form that travels from room to room, and to write down whether a student responded without a second prompt. It is not a behavior plan, a point system with rules or a program of any kind, and it promises no outcome. It carries no prompt hierarchy, fading schedule or mastery rule; how the ring is used with a student, and for how long, is what your team's plan says. The goal line and the criterion field are blanks for your district's own wording and your team's own number.

Who This Is For

Special education teachers, paraprofessionals and specials teachers who teach a set of classroom directions and need those same pictures to travel with a roving adult — the cafeteria monitor, the specials teacher, the substitute, the bus aide — plus the case managers who need that use to show up as data, and the families who get the home page sent home.

More In The Collection

This is the fifth single in the Visual Supports Collection, alongside Attention and Listening Cue Cards (the same nine cues on a classroom chart and board), Lanyard Cue Cards for Special Education (calm-down cues on a ring), Break Cards for Special Education, and First Then Board and Activity Picture Cards; more picture-card sets — schedule cards, routine strips, choice boards — are being added to the collection regularly, all on the same cards-plus-data shape.
