About this resource

Teaching consonant blends and want pages your K-2 students can do on their own? This set has 23 activity pages for 20 blends: l-blends (bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, sl), r-blends (br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, tr) and s-blends (sc, sk, sm, sn, sp, st, sw). Every word on the read, build and search pages is a plain short-vowel word like flag, drum or snap, and every page has a big "My name" line, one short instruction with a small picture and room to work. Print and go, or type into the PDF.

EVERYTHING INSIDE (40 pages)

How It Works

1. Pick a family and start with the blend chart, or go in order.

2. Print a page and hand it over. The shape in the corner marks the job: a circle is matching, a square is reading and choosing, a triangle is writing and finding.

3. Check with the key, record on the tracker, and use the roll-up for a meeting.

Built For The Child Holding The Page

A big "My name" line, big print, a border and room to write. Nothing on a student page is written for an adult; the key, tracker and notes are on separate teacher pages. No prep means print and go: the sorts and fill-the-blend pages need scissors and glue.

What This Is, And What It Is Not
