About this resource
One file for every schedule a classroom needs: the regular day, the week, the early-release day, the specials rotation, and pages the children can read themselves. Type the times once and print.
EVERYTHING INSIDE — 24 pages
- A Start Here page, a contents page and a filled-in example school day
- The schedules: a daily schedule with 14 time blocks, a class-periods page with 8 periods for grades 5-8, a week at a glance (Monday to Friday, 10 time rows), a half-day schedule with 10 rows, a specials rotation (6 days plus a 5-week calendar) and an adult support schedule with 12 rows for aides, co-teachers and specialists
- Track and prepare: "Minutes in a Week" roll-up (12 rows), a change log (14 rows) a materials-by-block page (12 blocks), a binder cover and spine label to print, and 8 binder tab labels to cut
- For children: Our Day (12 time-and-activity rows with a My name line), First, Next, Then, Last (4 writing boxes), Our Short Day, and 8 schedule cards to cut, edge to edge, in two columns
- Share it: a note to families about the schedule, a notes page, and a phrase bank of 30 starters in 5 groups
- A "what's next" back page
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the pages, or print them and use a pen. It works offline with no account or subscription. The pages are a PDF, so you cannot drag the boxes around or restyle the pages. It is not an editable slide deck.
It is working paper for your own schedule. It does not say how many minutes any subject must get; every time is a blank for your school's own schedule. The children's pages have no pictures, so you can print them for any age. Students on the support page are written as initials, and nothing is pre-filled about any student. The example teacher, class and child are invented and say so on the page.
Who This Is For
Kindergarten through 8th grade general education and special education teachers, co-teachers and aides, and substitutes who need to see the day at a glance.
