About this resource
A poster tells a child what a factor is. A notebook card lets them keep it, and a worksheet lets them use it. This is the whole set for factors and multiples in grades 3 to 5: full-size posters for the wall, the same ideas at notebook size for each student, and practice pages with room to work, so nothing has to be made from scratch.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (49 pages)
- 15 poster pages for the wall: 1 vocabulary poster (factor, multiple, product, factor pair, divisible, square, prime, composite, with a worked example), 2 factor-pair tables (1 to 24 and 25 to 48, prime rows shaded), 1 prime, composite and divisibility poster, and 11 multiples posters, one for each number 2 to 12 (the first 12 multiples, the factors, a pattern, and a yes/no example)
- 2 notebook pages of cut-out cards: 6 vocabulary cards with a line for the student's own example, and 12 multiples cards (2 to 12, plus one blank to fill in)
- 12 worksheet pages in 6 formats, 2 sets each: Skip Counting, Factor Pairs, Factor or Multiple?, Prime or Composite?, Find All the Factors, and Word Problems
- 4 sort pages: 2 glue mats and 2 sets of 16 number cards (multiples of 4, and prime or composite)
- 2 answer keys, generated from the same data as the pages
- 1 tracker (first try and second try, 6 skills), 1 class grid, 1 family note, 1 "Math at Home" page, 1 filled example for an invented student, 1 phrase bank (12 starters)
- 1 binder cover and 6 divider tabs with a spine label
- Start Here, a how-to-read-a-page page, and a contents page that gives every page number
Built For The Child Holding The Page
A big "My name" line, one short instruction, large rounded type and real room to work. Find All the Factors and Word Problems each have a Show your work box. Dots, not words, show how hard a page is. Nothing on a student page is written for an adult.
The Notebook Version
The wall poster stays on the wall. Each student cuts apart their own vocabulary and multiples cards and glues them in a math notebook, then writes an example of their own. The cards sit edge to edge, so the cutting is a few straight lines.
Every Number Is Checked
Factors, factor pairs, multiples, prime and composite labels, the yes/no answers, the sort piles and the word-problem answers are all computed by the same code that prints the pages, so the posters and the answer keys agree. Every example student is invented and says so on the page.
Type In, Or Print
The name and date lines, the tracker, the class grid, the family note and the home page are type-in fields in any PDF reader. The student worksheets are pencil work. Every page prints clean in black and white; posters look best in color. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
Who This Is For
Third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms, resource rooms and self-contained classes, math centers, tutors, and families who want something to hang up and something to write on.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
A set of posters and practice pages with the record-keeping around it. It is not a screener, a test or a claim about any student's age or rate of progress. There is no IEP goal language or eligibility wording anywhere in the file, and no standards are cited.
