About this resource

Everything a related-services team needs to see fine motor dexterity two ways: an observation checklist for grip, posture, hand strength and dexterity, and three concrete, stopwatch-timed tasks that turn "how fast and how much" into a real number, session after session — all in one fillable PDF. Distinct from a rating-scale fine motor sheet: nothing here scores a level; every page is either a plain description or a number from a stopwatch.

It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a line, a box or a cell, type, press Tab to move on, and Save As per student or per cycle. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc, or an Excel workbook, and it does not include a pegboard, buttoning frame, pencils or a stopwatch — your team supplies the physical materials; this file only records what happens with them.

It is not an occupational therapy evaluation, not a standardized or normed test, and not a clinical finding of any kind. No page states what a fast or a slow time means, sets an age expectation, or names a condition — every screening row and every timed score records only what was observed or how long a task took, and the team's own criteria for what a pattern means stay a blank line on the page.

School occupational therapists, related-services teams and special education case managers tracking a fine motor speed or dexterity goal, and classroom teachers who want a quick observation checklist before or alongside a formal screening.
