About this resource
Friday mornings go faster when a child can sit down and start. This Fun Friday Morning Work set gives kindergarten, first and second grade twenty no-prep pages of brain teasers, word games, number puzzles and team challenges, in four groups of five. Print the page you want, hand it over, and the child reads one short direction with a pencil next to it and gets to work.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (34 pages)
- 20 Friday pages in 4 groups of 5. Each page is one activity with one short direction.

- 1 how-to-use page (the four groups, and which page fits which morning)
- 1 Friday tracker (20 rows), 1 filled example (an invented student), 1 class progress grid (15 students, 4 groups)
- 1 family note with three ways to help at home, 1 phrase bank of 14 observable starters
- 1 binder cover with a spine strip, 4 group divider tabs (fold or tape, no scissors), a Start Here page and the terms of use
HOW TO USE IT (five steps)
1. Pick a Friday page, or a whole group for the month. Every page stands alone.
2. Print it. Nothing is cut or glued. Children write in the boxes and on the lines.
3. Hand it over. The direction is one short sentence, with a pencil next to it.
4. Check with the answer key on page 27 or 28. Open pages (a maze, a game, a drawing, a sentence) have no single answer, so check that the page is done and the words make sense.
5. Track it on the Friday tracker (page 25). A filled example on page 26 shows how.
Built For The Child Holding The Page
A "My name" line sits at the top of every page, with one direction and a pencil beside it, in big words in a rounded font. Every answer box is big enough for a child's handwriting. Nothing on a student page is scored, and nothing on a student page is written for an adult. The maze, the boxes, the shapes and the dots are drawn with lines and boxes, so there is no clip art to color and nothing to project.
Type In, Or Print
Every name line, answer box, letter box and drawing box on the student pages is a type-in field in any PDF reader, so you can type a name or a different number before you print. This is a fillable PDF. It is not Google Slides or PowerPoint, and it does not need a screen.
Who This Is For
Kindergarten, first and second grade teachers who want a Friday morning with a plan: morning work tubs, early finishers, partner time, sub plans, small groups and homeschool families.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
Print-only Friday activities, with the record-keeping around them. It is not a set of slides, not a digital game, and not a screening, assessment or clinical tool. The pages do not claim to match any one set of standards. The key and the tracker are for you.
