About this resource

A Glow and Grow note is one short, two-part feedback note — one GLOW (a specific strength or win to celebrate) and one GROW (one specific thing to work on next, with a step for how) — built for quick home-school communication, peer-to-peer feedback, teacher-to-student feedback, and a student's own self-reflection, in six different formats so the note matches who is writing it and who is reading it, plus a tracker, a phrase bank, a folder organizer, and a filled, invented example.

WHAT IS INCLUDED - 18 pages, 204 type-in fields

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF. Type into a line or a box, or print it and use a pen or a crayon; nothing requires a subscription, an account, or an internet connection. It is NOT a Google Docs file, a Google Slides file, a Google Sheets file, or a word-processed file.

It is not a grading rubric and not a behavior plan. No page here scores or ranks a student against a standard or against classmates; a Grow is always one specific, actionable next step, never a general weakness or a label. It is not an ongoing progress-monitoring data sheet (that is this store's Student Self-Assessment of Goal Progress or Family Engagement IEP Goal Home Implementation Log instead). No real student's information is pre-filled anywhere; the example student is invented and says so on the page.

Who This Is For

Special education teachers, general education teachers, counselors and paraprofessionals who want a quick, specific feedback note ready to write instead of starting from a blank page; families using the home version to hear a Glow and a Grow from the same week; and students using the peer and self-reflection versions to practice naming a strength and a next step in their own words.
