About this resource
EVERYTHING INSIDE — 20 pages, 262 type-in fields
- 7 helper badges, 2 inches square: Line Leader, Door Holder, Paper Passer, Calendar Helper, Recycling Helper, Plant Helper, Messenger — cut apart and punched for a one-inch book ring or a lanyard clip, every badge with its own blank line for the helper's name
- The same 7 badges again, bigger, for a larger badge-holder sleeve or a younger helper who needs more room on the name line
- Every badge twice: a full-color set and a black-and-white ink-saver set for a spare badge or a second adult
- 12 blank badges with a type-in line for the job AND a second line for the helper's name, for any job the printed set does not cover
- A how-to page: building the badge (cut, write the name, punch), picking a job and a size, giving out the badge, when a helper needs a reminder, writing down what changes, one badge for several rooms, sending it home and handing it off
- A Helper Badge Log (18 rows: date, job worn, who wore it, independent Y/N, notes, initials)
- A weekly roll-up (8 weeks) with a percent-independent graph
- A filled example — an invented student, one week on the log and a second week on the roll-up, every percent re-counted from its own row
- A family page with all 7 jobs as a small home reference, a week of home talks to initial
- A hand-off page so a paraprofessional, specials teacher or substitute gives out the same badge the same way
- A phrase bank: 24 lines in 6 groups (spoken lines for giving out the badge, written starters for the log, the roll-up and the note home)
- A storage and binder label sheet: 11 labels and a spine strip
- Start Here, a contents page with page thumbnails, and a "what's next" back page
This collection's job chart already shows the whole class a wall-mounted board of classroom jobs. This badge carries the same 7 jobs onto the student who has the job right now: cut to a small card, punched near the top edge and threaded onto a one-inch book ring or clipped to a lanyard, with a blank line so the badge names the helper as well as the job.
The Badges
Line Leader, Door Holder, Paper Passer, Calendar Helper, Recycling Helper, Plant Helper, Messenger — the same 7-job bank, the same pictures and the same words Classroom Job Chart Visual Cue Cards already uses, so a buyer who owns both sees the same picture mean the same job in both places. Every badge is 2 inches square (or bigger, on the second size); a hole punched near the top edge, inside the dashed cut line, keeps the picture, the word and the name line clear of the ring.
The Badge Sheets
- Standard badges — all 7 jobs, 2 inches square, color or ink-saver
- Big badges — the same 7 jobs again, larger, for a bigger badge-holder sleeve or a younger helper
- Blank badges — 12 cards with a job line and a name line, for anything the printed set does not cover
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank badges, or print and use a pen. The badge sheets print on cardstock or plain paper, cut along dashed lines, and punch near the top edge for a one-inch book ring (sold separately) or a lanyard clip. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.
It is a way to show the whole class which job a student has right now, using a bank of pictures this collection's job chart already carries, and to write down whether the badge was worn and announced without a reminder. It is not a behavior plan, a point system with rules or a program of any kind, and it promises no outcome. It carries no rotation order, reminder schedule or mastery rule; how the badge is used with a student, and for how long, is what your team's plan says. The goal line and the criterion field are blanks for your district's own wording and your team's own number.
Who This Is For
Special education teachers, paraprofessionals and specials teachers who already run (or are building) a classroom job rotation and want the job to travel on the student instead of staying on a wall, plus the case managers who need that use to show up as data, and the families who get the home page sent home.
More In The Collection
This single pairs with Classroom Job Chart Visual Cue Cards (the wall-board version of this same 7-job bank) and Lanyard Cue Cards for Special Education (the ring-mounted wearable mechanic this badge is built on); more picture-card sets — schedule cards, routine strips, choice boards — are being added to the collection regularly, all on the same cards-plus-data shape.
