About this resource

EVERYTHING INSIDE — 24 pages, 241 type-in fields

A check-in tool for a student who is ready to put a feeling, a need and a try together, built entirely from three card banks already sold separately in this collection: the feelings bank, the leveled break-request bank, and the four-step calm-down process. Rather than teaching the same pictures three separate times, this file chains them into one board and one log, the shape several named competitor listings already sell as a single "feelings and regulation choice board."

The Three Columns

Every picture was already checked, in color and in the black-and-white set, against a young child's reading of it in its home product; nothing here is a new word or a new picture. Cards are 2 inches square; the board slots are sized to match.

The Board

One three-panel board — I FEEL, I NEED, I CAN TRY, left to right, each with a dashed slot a cut-apart card sits inside. It carries no pictures of its own, so it prints the same in color or black and white.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF: type into the board's name line, the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. The card pages print on cardstock or plain paper and cut along dashed lines. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.

It is a way for a student to show, in pictures, how they feel, what they need, and one thing they can try. It is not a behavior plan, a point system with rules of its own, or a program of any kind, and it promises no outcome. It carries no prompt hierarchy, fading schedule or mastery rule; how the board is used with a student, and for how long, is what your team's plan says. The goal line and the criterion field are blanks for your district's own wording and your team's own number. The log counts one thing: whether all three slots were filled on the student's own.

Who This Is For

Special education teachers and paraprofessionals who already use one or more of the three source card sets and want them chained into a single check-in routine, case managers who need the chain to show up as data, and the families who get the home page sent home.

More In The Collection

This file is built from three other singles in the Visual Supports Collection — Feelings Chart and Check-In Cards, Leveled Break Request Cards, and Calm Down Steps Sequence Cue Cards and Poster — each sold on its own with more pages and more depth on its one bank; more picture-card sets are being added to the collection regularly, all on the same cards-plus-data shape.
