About this resource
The class list is on a clipboard, the clipboard is on your desk, and you are at the door, on duty, or on the other side of the room. This puts the list on a card you wear: class list cards, quick notes cards and attendance cards you type, print, cut apart and slip onto a lanyard, plus the full-page lists for your desk.
EVERYTHING INSIDE — 18 pages
- Class list cards: 6 cut-apart cards a page, each with a Class or period line, a Room line and 12 numbered name lines
- Quick notes cards: 6 cut-apart cards a page, each with Date, Class and 6 lines to write on
- Attendance cards: 6 cut-apart cards a page, each with Date, Class, On my list, Here today and lines for the absent, late and left-early numbers
- A full-page class roster: 26 rows with Student, Seat, Group and Quick note
- A weekly attendance grid: 22 student rows by Monday to Friday, with a notes column
- A schedule page: 9 rows with Time, Class or Period, Room, Students and What I carry, plus Days that run differently and Who to call or ask
- A dismissal and pickup list: 20 rows, with a blank box for your school's own rule
- A quick notes log: 15 rows with Date, Time, Student or number, What I saw or heard, and What I will do next
- A note for the substitute, with blanks in your own words and a 5-row Who can help you table
- A weekly count roll-up: 5 day rows (on my list, absent, here) with weekly totals and a 6-row counts-by-group table
- A phrase bank of 32 starters in 8 groups
- A filled example: twelve invented students and one week of counts, every total re-added from its own row
- A binder cover, a spine label and 8 cut-apart tabs
- Start Here, a contents page with page thumbnails, and a "what's next" back page
Most lanyard class lists are one page of names. This one gives you three kinds of card to wear, the desk versions of each, a way to count the week, and a page to leave for a substitute.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the cards, lists, notes and tracker, or print and use a pen. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Slides, Google Docs or PowerPoint file, and you cannot drag the boxes around or restyle the pages.
It is working paper for the class you teach. It is not your school's attendance record, and it does not say who may pick up a child or how names must be handled. That is your school's rule, and the dismissal page has a blank for it. The roll-up counts a week; it does not score anyone. No health information is filled in or asked for. The students in the example are invented and say so on the page. The cutting is the 18 cards on pages 5 to 7 and the 8 binder tabs on page 17, all edge to edge so each cut is one straight line.
Cards are about 3.5 by 2.8 inches. Print on card stock for a card that holds up on a lanyard.
