About this resource

Looking for letter B worksheets that go deeper than one page of the alphabet? This is a complete kit for one letter. Children match the big B to the small b, circle every b in rows of look-alike letters, sort words by where the b sits (start, middle or end), tell a real word from a non-word, write the missing b, and fill in sentences with a word from a bank. You get the tracker, class grid, team note and family page around it, so nothing has to be written from scratch.

EVERYTHING INSIDE (33 pages)

Match the Letters (2 sets of 6 pairs), Circle the b (3 sets of 5 rows, 15 rows in all), Sort by Place (3 sets), Real Word (3 sets), Missing Letter (3 sets), Fill In (3 sets)

The Six Formats

1. Match the Letters: six capitals and six small letters, draw a line from each pair, then write a big B and a small b on handwriting-style lines.

2. Circle the b: rows of b, d, p and q in large print. Circle every b, then count them. One set mixes B and b.

3. Sort by Place: six words in a bank, three rows (b at the start, in the middle, at the end), write each word where its b is.

4. Real Word: two choices, one real word and one non-word with a d, p or q in the b's place. Circle the real one.

5. Missing Letter: a short clue, the word in boxes with the b missing. Write the b.

6. Fill In: eight words in a bank (two are spares), six sentences. Write the word that fits.

Built For The Child Holding The Page

A big "My name" line, one short instruction with a small picture icon, large rounded letters, and real room to write on every page. Dots, not words, show the easier and harder pages. There are no pictures to guess from and no tracing; children work from the letter and the word itself. Nothing on a student page is written for an adult, and no student page needs scissors or glue.

Every Word And Number Is Generated, Never Typed

Every word, clue, sentence, answer position and count on every page, key, tracker and example is computed from the same word data at build time, so the pages and the key cannot drift apart. The right answer's position is shuffled so no pattern gives it away.

Type In, Or Print

The name and date lines, tracker, class grid, team note and home page are type-in fields in any PDF reader. What a child writes, circles or draws is pencil work. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.

Who This Is For

Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms, self-contained and resource rooms, intervention groups and tutors who want one letter in one place. Your district's own phonics scope and sequence decides when to teach the letter.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

A set of letter B worksheets with the record-keeping around it. It is not a timed test, a screener, a clinical tool, or a claim about any student's age or rate of progress. There are no pictures, no tracing pages, and no IEP goal language or eligibility wording anywhere in the file. It covers the letter b only; for the whole alphabet see Alphabet Letter Recognition and Matching Worksheets.
