About this resource
A letter to Santa is the writing job a child actually wants to do in December. These letter to Santa writing worksheets for kindergarten through grade 3 cover all of it: a wish list to think with, a plan before writing, a letter on big lines for K-1 or on standard lines for grades 2-3, an envelope to address and a thank-you letter for after the holiday. Children draw, say it out loud, then write.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (25 pages)

Built For The Child Holding The Page
A big "My name" line, one short instruction with a small pencil icon, the question in large rounded letters, and lines with real spacing. Nothing on a student page is written for an adult, there is no score, and no student page needs scissors or glue. Two line sizes let you hand each child the page that fits: big lines with a picture box for K-1, standard lines for grades 2-3.
Type In, Or Print
The name and date lines, every ruled line, the log, class grid and family note are type-in fields in any PDF reader, so you can type a word onto a line before you print. The picture boxes and check boxes are left for drawing and coloring. Every page prints clean in black and white. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
Who This Is For
Teachers in kindergarten through grade 3, self-contained and resource rooms, writing centers, small groups, tutors and families who want a December letter-writing activity a child can start on their own. Whether a letter is kept, shared or sent is your call or your family's.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
Letter-writing pages with the record-keeping around them. There is no scoring and no rubric, and it is not a timed test, a screener or a clinical tool. It makes no claim about any student's age or rate of progress, there is no IEP goal language or eligibility wording anywhere in the file, and there is no religious content. It does not promise a reply from anyone. If a family prefers not to take part, give that child another writing page.
