About this resource
A multiplication chart children can read from their seats, count along with and fill in themselves. This is a 26-page Multiplication Chart set: the 1 to 12 chart and a 1 to 10 chart, each in color and in ink-saver, skip-count strips and desk strips to cut, fill-in charts in three levels, student pages and the teacher pages to run it. Print what you need, or type into the pages first.
WHAT IS INCLUDED (26 pages)
- 4 wall chart pages: a 1 to 12 chart (144 facts) and a 1 to 10 chart (100 facts), each in color and in ink-saver. In color, each row has its own color and the same-number facts (1 x 1, 2 x 2, 3 x 3 and so on) have a frame. The ink-saver pages use white boxes and gray headers.
- 24 pieces to cut on 4 cut sheets, set edge to edge so each cut is one straight line: 11 skip-count strips (count by 2 up to count by 12, twelve numbers each in two lines of six, with x1 to x12 under every box), 1 blank strip where the child picks the number, and 12 desk strips (the 1 to 12 times tables, one strip each, to tape to a desk).
- 6 student pages, each with a big "My name" line, one short direction and room to work: three fill-in charts (the first prints the 1, 2, 5 and 10 facts and leaves 64 boxes to fill, the second prints half and leaves 66, the third is empty with 144 boxes), a skip-count fill-in (60 boxes to fill plus a row where the child picks the number), use your chart to find 12 facts, and color the chart (find every 12, 24, 36 and 48).
- Levels are marked with small shapes, not numbers.
- Teacher pages: Start Here with a which-page-when table, 5 short routines for using the chart, a filled example (an invented child, every answer invented), two keys, a roll-up (facts I know, rows 1 to 12), a note home, a phrase bank of 20 starters in 5 groups, and a binder cover with spine and 4 tabs.
- Terms of use and a thank-you page.
How To Use It
Hang the chart where everyone can see it. Put one finger on a number in the first column and one on a number in the top row and slide them until they meet. Hand out a skip-count strip for counting practice and a desk strip for the child who needs a chart at the desk. When children are ready, start with the fill-in chart that prints the easy facts, move to the one that prints half, then the empty chart. Keep the roll-up to see which rows a child knows. The note home asks families to count by one number together.
Built For The Child Holding The Page
Every student page has a big "My name" line, one short direction with a picture, and boxes large enough to write in. The wall charts come in color and in an ink-saver version, and every page reads in black and white too.
Type In, Or Print
The name lines, the empty boxes on the fill-in charts and the skip-count page, the find-it lines, the roll-up, the note home and every notes area are type-in fields in any PDF reader. The chart posters and the cut strips are print pages. You can also print any page and write by hand. Print at 100 percent with fit-to-page turned off. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
Who This Is For
Grade 2 to 5 classrooms, resource rooms and tutoring, and anyone who wants a multiplication chart to post, a set of skip-count strips to cut, and a chart children can fill in step by step.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
A reference chart and working paper for finding and filling in multiplication facts. It is not a full math curriculum, an assessment or a therapy program, and it makes no health claims. Your school decides what a child should be able to do and when; the pages give you a blank to write your own notes.
