About this resource
Teaching single digit addition and want pages your K-2 students can do on their own? This set has 25 student sheets and 242 problems, with sums within 10 first and then within 20. Every page has a big "My name" line, one short instruction with a small picture, big numbers and a big answer box for every problem. The pages mix pictures on purpose: a child counts pictures, uses a ten frame, rolls through dice, hops along a number line, builds with cubes and turns a short story into a number sentence. Print and go, or type the answers into the PDF.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (41 pages)
- 25 student sheets, 242 problems: sums within 10 (10 sheets), sums within 20 (12 sheets) and mixed practice (3 sheets)
- 9 count-and-add picture problems, 18 ten-frame problems, 17 cube problems, 10 dice problems, 18 number-line hop problems, 4 make-a-ten problems and 3 draw-it problems
- 19 word-story problems that turn a story into a number sentence (all three numbers are boxes to fill), each with its own pictures to count
- 6 fact grids with 24 facts each (144 facts): sums to 6, 7 to 10 and mixed within 10, then 11 to 14, 11 to 18 and mixed within 20
- An addition chart for the desk (0 to 9 plus 0 to 9)
- Three answer-key pages for every problem, a tracker for all 25 sheets, a filled example (an invented student) and a family page
- A binder cover with a spine strip, 3 divider tabs, a What's Next page and Start Here
Three Levels
A small shape in the top corner of each student page tells you the level: a circle (4 sheets) is starting, with pictures to count; a square (8 sheets) is building, with a ten frame, dice, cubes or a number line to use; a triangle (13 sheets) is ready for more, with word stories, fact grids and mixed practice.
How It Works
1. Pick a section and start with the level your student needs.
2. Print a page and hand it over. One short instruction, one job.
3. Check with the key and write the date and score on the tracker.
Built For The Child Holding The Page
A big "My name" line, big print, a border and room to write. Nothing on a student page is written for an adult; the key and tracker are on separate teacher pages. Single digit addends only (0 to 9), no regrouping.
