About this resource
Spatial concepts speech therapy cards that show the word instead of describing it. Ten prepositions, each a picture scene: a box, table, fence or shelf with one animal or object placed in the relation. The teddy bear is in the box. The cat is on the table. The dog is under the table. A child can name the picture before saying the word, and each scene has one clear answer. Print, hand out, and walk away: every student page has a big My name line and one short instruction with a picture.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (26 pages)
The 10 Prepositions
in, on, under, next to, behind, in front of, above, below, between, on top of.
How It Works
Show a color card and talk about it. Then the child traces and colors the black-and-white scene, cuts and glues the pictures by their words, puts cut-out animals on the Show Me mat where you say, and writes sentences about the scenes. You choose the words and the order.
What This Set Is And Is Not
It is a picture-card teaching set. It is NOT progress-monitoring probes: it has no scoring, no assessment and no directions for teaching a word. The mat shows 7 of the 10 words (a loose paper animal cannot go behind or on top of a printed box); the scene cards cover all 10. It is a PDF to print, not a fillable PDF, and not Google Slides or a PowerPoint file.
The Look
Landmarks are drawn in flat shapes; the animals and objects are Whimsy Clips art in color and black and white, one set of art on every page. Fonts are KA Fonts. The file is secured so the art cannot be lifted out of it.
Who This Is For
Speech-language pathologists, special education teachers and paraprofessionals working with PreK through 2nd grade students, and families doing homework with a child.
