About this resource
Thanksgiving articulation pages for twelve sounds: P, K, T, F, B, H, L, W, S, D, R and G, in initial position (every word starts with the sound). Each sound has two pages. On the turkey page a turkey stands at the bottom with a wide arc of tail feathers around it, and every feather holds one outline picture of a harvest, farm or Thanksgiving-table word to say 5 times and color, with five circles under each word and a line of 5 days to color a star on. The Say & Find page is a busy scene: the child says a word 5 times, finds its picture and colors it, and skips the pictures that start with other sounds. Print, hand out, and walk away: every student page has a big My name line and one short instruction with a picture.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (38 pages)
- 1 cover page
- 1 Start Here page: what is inside, three steps, which page for which job
- 1 sounds-and-words list: all 83 words by sound, with page numbers and a space for words you add or skip
- 1 colored-in example (an invented student, Sam) so you can see a finished page
- 12 turkey pages, one for each sound: a turkey with an arc of 6 to 9 picture feathers (83 pictures to color in all), each labeled with its word, five circles under each word, and a 5-day star line with a place for a grown-up's initials
- 12 Say & Find scenes, one for each sound: the same words scattered at different sizes and tilts, each once, plus 4 small pictures from other sounds to skip, with a key at the bottom showing each word, its picture and five circles
- 1 class tracker (My Sounds) with 14 rows, a column for each of the 12 sounds and a notes column
- Sound-folder organizer: 1 binder cover with name and teacher lines, 1 binder spine to cut out, and 3 sheets of divider tabs (4 per sheet, one for each of the 12 sounds, with a letter and four of its pictures)

- 1 family note with blanks for your own plan (the sound, the words, how often, return date)
- 1 what's-next page showing related speech sound resources
- 1 credits page

How It Works
The child says a word five times, colors a circle for each time, then colors the picture on its feather. On a Say & Find page the child picks a word from the key, says it five times, finds the picture in the scene and colors it. The circles and stars are a place to count, not a score. For homework, send home the turkey page with the family note.
What This Set Is And Is Not
It is a print-and-color set of black-and-white pictures for speech and language practice, initial position only. It has no assessment, no scoring and no directions for teaching a sound; you decide which sounds and words each child practices. Only the 12 sounds listed are in this set. It is a PDF to print, not a fillable PDF, and not Google Slides or a PowerPoint file.
The Look
Black-and-white outline pictures from Whimsy Clips, one set of art on every page, so they print light and give each child plenty of room to color. Fonts are KA Fonts. The file is secured so the art cannot be lifted out of it.
Who This Is For
Speech-language pathologists, special education teachers and paraprofessionals working with PreK through 3rd grade students, and families doing homework with a child.
