About this resource
Reading a direction is one skill. Doing step 1, then step 2, then step 3, in that order and without skipping ahead, is a different one, and it is the one a child is tested on the moment a worksheet, a classroom job chart or a test gives more than one instruction at a time. This Thanksgiving version keeps every direction set exactly as checkable as the year-round pack, dressed for the season with table, pie, family and turkey words.
Every direction set has a finished picture with exactly one checkable result: draw one named shape, an exact count of a shape, color a named color, put an X, write a given word or number, or draw a line or dot in a stated position. Nothing asks a child to compare what they just free-drew (no "biggest" or "smallest" of their own shapes), because a hand-drawn size is not something two adults would always agree on. Every other action here is.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (34 pages)
The Seven Page Types, Easiest To Hardest
Dots mark the step count, not a word, so children at one table cannot see who has which level. The three shapes on the cover share one color; only each shape's own dot chip marks its step.
Built For The Child Holding The Page
A big "My name" line, one short numbered instruction at a time, large rounded letters, and a blank box sized to the step count. Nothing is pre-drawn, because the drawing is the task. No adult-only language, no scoring, and no level word anywhere a child can read it.
Type In, Or Print
The name and date lines, the tracker, the class grid, the team note and the home page are type-in fields in any PDF reader. The student pages print clean in black and white and are pencil-and-crayon work. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
Who This Is For
Kindergarten through second grade classrooms, self-contained and resource rooms, and any teacher who wants Thanksgiving-week practice for a child holding more than one instruction in order, a skill that shows up on test directions, classroom jobs and multi-step work long before it has its own worksheet shelf.
