About this resource
Thanksgiving WH questions with a picture to look at and a picture to pick. Eight drawn scenes of harvest time, each with a short three-line story and five questions: who, what, where, when and why. Every question has three picture choices, one of them right, and the story and the scene both say which. A girl pulls a pumpkin in a wagon. A farmer carries hay to the cow. A woman puts a pie on the table. Print, hand out, and walk away: every student page has a big My name line and one short instruction with a picture.

The 8 Scenes

The Numbers
8 scenes, 40 questions (5 each: who, what, where, when, why), 120 picture choices, 80 pieces to cut (5 on each of the 16 cut-and-glue pages).
How It Works
Read the story with the child and talk about the scene. On a point-to page the child circles the picture that answers each question; you may ask aloud and let the child point instead. On a cut-and-glue page the child cuts five answers from a strip and glues each one by its question. You choose the scenes and the order.
What This Set Is And Is Not
It is a picture-question teaching set. It is NOT progress-monitoring probes: it has no scoring, no assessment and no directions for teaching a question word. The tracker is working paper for your own notes. It is a PDF to print, not a fillable PDF, and not Google Slides or a PowerPoint file.
The Look
Scenes are drawn in flat shapes with Whimsy Clips art placed in them, no photos, one set of art on every page. Fonts are KA Fonts. The file is secured so the art cannot be lifted out of it.
