About this resource
EVERYTHING INSIDE — 24 pages, 327 type-in fields
- A 20-Slot Token Board: twenty star-outline slots (four rows of five) and one REWARD slot, with a name and date line
- Two desk-size token boards on one sheet, cut apart, for a folder or a second student
- A Whole-Group Token Overview: one row per student, up to ten, on a single page
- 12 reward cards, 2 inches square, sized for velcro dots: balloon, book, bubbles, cookie, candy, teddy bear, headphones, game controller, trophy, ball, puzzle, gift
- Every reward card twice: a full-color set for a laminated board and a black-and-white ink-saver set for the photocopier
- A Reward Menu page: pick which rewards a student's board is working toward before the first day
- 12 blank reward cards with a type-in word line, for anything the printed set does not cover
- A how-to page: before the first day, the three moves every time, choosing a reward, what to do if a board is not filled by day's end, writing down what changes, running several boards at once, why twenty slots suit a longer stretch of the day
- A Token Log (20 rows: date, time, slot, for completing in your own words, board complete?, reward given, initials)
- A weekly roll-up (8 weeks) with a percent-of-days-completed graph
- A two-page filled example — an invented student, one full day of all twenty slots on its own page, then three weeks on the roll-up, every percent re-counted from its own row
- A family page with a kitchen-size board and six home reward choices on one sheet
- A hand-off page so a paraprofessional or another classroom runs the same board the same way
- A phrase bank: 23 lines in 6 groups (spoken lines for the board, written starters for the log, the roll-up and the note home)
- A storage and binder label sheet: 11 labels and a spine strip
- Start Here, a contents page with page thumbnails, and a "what's next" back page
The largest token board in the collection, built for a longer stretch of the day or a longer routine than a 5, 6, 8, 10 or 12-slot board covers, with the same log, roll-up and phrase bank behind it so a board filled to a reward turns into a line on a page a case manager can bring to a meeting.
The Token Board
The star token IS the reward-progress object itself, not a symbol standing for something else — the same way a checker or a chip is the thing being moved in a real game. Twenty star-outline slots, arranged four rows of five so each slot stays clearly readable, fill one at a time (color one in, or place a physical star sticker), and the twentieth trades the board for one reward card in the REWARD slot below it. No checkbox, target, or other abstract interface symbol appears anywhere in this file.
The Reward Cards
Balloon, book, bubbles, cookie, candy, teddy bear, headphones, game controller, trophy, ball, puzzle, gift — twelve concrete, nameable rewards: prize objects, a toy, or a time-boxed activity (book = reading time, headphones = music time, game controller = video-game time, ball = playground or ball time). Every picture was chosen to be named in one word by a young child, in color AND in the black-and-white set. Cards are 2 inches square; the board's reward slot holds a card with room for a velcro dot. The same twelve reward cards work for a board of any size in this collection — the number of slots changes, the reward menu does not need to.
The Boards
- Token Board (20 Slots) — a name line, twenty star slots in four rows of five, and a REWARD panel with a slot for the earned reward card.
- Two desk-size token boards — two boards on one sheet, cut apart, for a folder or a second student.
- Whole-Group Token Overview — up to ten students' own twenty slots on one page, for a room running several boards at once.
The boards carry no pictures, so they print the same in color or black and white.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the boards' name and date lines, the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page, the reward menu and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. The card pages print on cardstock or plain paper and cut along dashed lines. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.
It is a way to track steps completed with a physical token and a reward earned once twenty are placed. It is not a behavior plan, a point system with rules of its own, or a program of any kind, and it promises no outcome. It carries no prompt hierarchy, fading schedule or mastery rule; how it is used with a student, and for how long, is what your team's plan says. The goal line and the criterion field are blanks for your district's own wording and your team's own number. The log counts one thing: how many boards were filled all the way to a reward.
Who This Is For
Special education teachers and paraprofessionals who run token economy systems over a longer stretch of the day for one student or a whole room, case managers who need that use to show up as data, and the families who get the home page sent home.
More In The Collection
This is a set in the Visual Supports Collection, alongside Token Board 12-Slot, Token Board 6-Slot, First-Then Board and Activity Picture Cards, and Break Cards and Choice Board; more picture-card sets are being added to the collection regularly, all on the same cards-plus-data shape. It is also added to the Visual Supports Collection Bundle, which packages this and every other single in the collection together at 35% off buying them separately (each board keeps its own file).
