About this resource

Vocabulary growth is the SLP or reading-interventionist question the store's existing sheets don't answer: not how accurately a student reads or produces a sound, but how many words they know, how fast new ones are sticking, and whether their word knowledge is broad-but-shallow or narrow-but-flexible. This fillable PDF is a full year of informal, team-set tracking for exactly that — never a standardized or norm-referenced vocabulary score.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a line, a box or a cell, type, press Tab to move on, and Save As once per student. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc or an Excel workbook, and it does not calculate a percent or draw the graph.

It is NOT a standardized or norm-referenced vocabulary test. The 100 / 200 / 500-word bands are round numbers a team sets and re-checks with its own spot-check sample; there is no percentile, no age-equivalent, and no score that goes in an eligibility file anywhere in this document. It is not a therapy program or a fixed word list — every category target, every "known" definition and every rating scale is written in by the team, from its own judgment.

Who This Is For

School SLPs and reading interventionists tracking vocabulary growth across a caseload, general education teachers handed the classroom carryover page, and families sent the monthly word-learning note.
