About this resource

EVERYTHING INSIDE — 19 pages

The chart-and-board version of this same five-level scale stays where it is posted. This file prints no chart and no board: the same five voice cards, cut small, punched near the top edge and threaded onto a one-inch book ring, so the scale travels on a lanyard or belt clip with whoever is wearing it — into the small-group table, the specials classroom, the secondary room, or anywhere a posted chart is not within reach.

THE LEVELS (reused verbatim from the chart-and-board version, same words and pictures)

1. Silent — used when no talking is expected at all

2. Whisper — used for a voice only the person right next to you can hear

3. Talking — used for a partner or a small group

4. Louder — used for reading aloud or talking to the whole room

5. Loudest — used outside, or for an emergency

Unlike a fixed sequence that runs in order, a graded voice-volume scale can be pointed to in any direction: the student points to the level that matches their voice right now. No flipping through in order; the ring is just easier to carry than the full chart posted in the classroom.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF: type into the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. The card sheet prints on cardstock or plain paper, cuts along dashed lines, and punches near the top edge for a one-inch book ring (sold separately). It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.

It is a way for an adult to carry the same five voice levels a posted chart already teaches, so it travels from room to room, and to write down whether a student's voice matched the setting's expected level. It is not a behavior plan, a clinical finding or a program of any kind, and it promises no outcome. It supplies no prompt hierarchy, fading schedule or mastery rule. Each setting has its own expected level; the team's own answer goes blank in the hand-off, not a rule this file supplies.

Who This Is For

Special education teachers, paraprofessionals and general education teachers who already teach five voice levels and need them to travel with a roving adult — the specials teacher, the secondary classroom, the small-group table, the substitute — plus the case managers who need that use to show up as data, and the families who get the home page sent home.

More In The Collection

This single sits alongside Voice Level Volume Visual Chart (the posted version with the same five levels), and other graded-scale and fixed-sequence picture-card sets — lanyard rings, check-in boards, choice cards — all on the same cards-plus-data shape.
