You crumple a paper heart while the class names unkind words, smooth it flat, and look at the wrinkles that stay. This file gives you the steps in plain words, a blank-line page for your own class talk, and student sheets for the children: look and write, draw the heart before and after, sort kind words and unkind words, say it kindly, and a cut-and-glue heart craft with a bandage.

Both cutting pages are edge-to-edge grids, so every cut is one straight line. 17 pieces to cut in all (8 word pieces and 9 craft pieces). Every student page has a name line and one short instruction with a picture.
