About this resource
A 4-step repair sequence — Say What Happened, Say Sorry, Make It Right, Move On — shown as a posted strip, as cut-apart cards, and as a student practice page where a child puts the steps in order themselves, with a log, a weekly roll-up and a phrase bank behind it, so a step a student needed help with turns into a line on a page a case manager can bring to a meeting.
The Strip, The Cards And The Practice Page
- The strip: all 4 steps on one page, numbered, in reading order
- The cards (4, printed twice — 8 per sheet): Say What Happened, Say Sorry, Make It Right, Move On — cut apart so a worn or missing card already has a spare
- The practice page: the same 4 pictures print out of order, twice, with an empty box under each for a student to write the correct step number — a sequencing task for a calm day, not a real incident
Every picture was chosen to be named in one word, in color AND in the black-and-white set, and rendered at print size before it was used; the module's own notes record the one soft picture call (the heart used for "Say Sorry") and why it was kept. Cards are 2 inches square.
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: type into the log, the roll-up, the family page, the hand-off page and the blank cards, or print and use a pen. The strip and card pages print on cardstock or plain paper; the cards cut along dashed lines. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT an editable online slideshow or word-processor document.
It is a posted, numbered picture sequence for one repair routine, and a place to record whether each step needed help. It is not a behavior plan, a procedure for how to prompt a step, or a finding about why a conflict happened, and it supplies no prompt hierarchy, fading schedule or mastery rule. How it is used with a student, and for how long, is what your team's plan says. The goal line and the criterion field are blanks for your district's own wording and your team's own number. The log counts one thing per step: whether help was needed.
Who This Is For
Special education teachers, school counselors and case managers teaching a concrete repair routine after a conflict between students, and the families who get the home page sent home.
More In The Collection
This is a single in the Visual Supports Collection, alongside Friendship Skills Cue Cards and Log, Waiting and Self-Control Cue Cards with Log and Social Stories When Someone Is Unkind; more picture-card sets are being added to the collection regularly, all on the same cards-plus-data shape.
