About this resource
A single chart for one student, one day, period by period, scored in faces instead of numbers: a full-day smiley point sheet, a half-day version for a shortened schedule, a whole-class quick glance grid, a single-block note a specials or related-arts teacher fills in and hands back, a dedicated student-held daily chart with big faces to circle, a weekly roll-up and trend graph, a family note, comment starters, and a filled example with the arithmetic shown. Set the schedule and a three-face scale once, and every other page runs on the same three faces.
WHAT IS INCLUDED - 18 pages, 223 type-in fields
Setup
- How This Chart Works - a one-page quick start matching six common situations to the page that handles each one, plus what this file is not
- How the Type-In Fields Work - a ninety-second guide to the fillable fields, confidentiality, and troubleshooting
- Today's Schedule and the Face Scale - write your own block names once; a three-face scale (Great / Okay / Rough, worth 2 / 1 / 0 points) you can relabel to match your own system
- Look-Fors for Each Face - 6 example observable behaviors per face (18 total), plus a card on blocks that do not fit neatly into one face and a card for a student who is still learning to communicate
Daily Sheets (Real Variety)
- Full-Day Smiley Point Sheet - one row per period (8 rows), a face to circle, a comment, and today's total
- Half-Day Smiley Point Sheet - the same idea with 6 rows for an early-release day or a shortened schedule, plus an early-dismissal checklist
- Whole-Class Quick Glance Grid - one overall face per student, 19 rows, for a fast end-of-day scan of the room
- Specials / Related-Arts Single-Block Note - the one adult page in the file meant for a different adult (art, music, PE) who sees the student for a single block and hands the page back
- My Day, My Faces - the one student-held page: a big "My name" line, one short picture instruction, and six big faces to circle or color, with nothing written for an adult
Weekly Roll-Up And Communication
- Weekly Roll-Up - copy each day's total onto one row (Monday-Friday plus a week-average row), with an optional two-week comparison
- Weekly Trend Graph - a blank 0-100% grid to plot the week's percents and see the shape of the week
- Family Note - a short note home with a face to circle, blanks for what went well, what you're working on, how the family can help, and questions
- Comment Starters for the Notes Column - observable-language sentence starters for a great, okay, or rough block, for the family note, and for the specials note
Example And Organizer
- One Day and the Week, Filled In - an invented kindergartner's Monday faces and the week the roll-up would build from them, every number added so the arithmetic can be checked
- Binder Cover and Divider Tabs - print, fold, and insert in a three-ring binder or student folder. One cover and three tabs: Today, This Week, Notes Home
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a box or line, type, Tab to the next, and Save As with the date. Set the schedule and face scale once and the rest of the file runs on the same three faces. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc, or an Excel workbook.
It is not the Daily Behavior Tracker Editable - that sibling uses a 0-4 number scale built for an older student or a confident reader. It is not the Behavior Data Collection Sheets pack - a wider product built around ABC narrative and checklist sheets, frequency, interval and scatterplot counts, and an incident log for one target behavior. It is not the Check In Check Out system - a wider product that runs a whole daily program: a coordinator's log, a weekly team review, and a fade plan. This file is the kindergarten or early-childhood version of the same job: three faces, nothing to set up first.
Who This Is For
Kindergarten and early-childhood special education teachers, classroom teachers who want today's periods rated on a scale young students can read themselves, paraprofessionals tracking a student across the school day, specials and related-arts teachers who need a quick single-block note to hand back, and families who want a week's shape at a glance without a whole behavior program to set up.
