About this resource
A behavior ladder works when children can see every rung and know how to climb back up. This is 25 pages: a Positive Choices ladder poster, a Making It Right ladder poster, blank ladders for your own rung words, rung cards and name markers to cut, a week strip and reflection sheets for children, and the teacher pages to run it. Print what you need, or type into the pages first.

How To Use It
Hang the Behavior Ladder at children's eye level with Making It Right close by. Cut the name markers and start every day on rung 1, Ready to Learn. Children climb as they make positive choices, and you say what you saw. When something goes wrong, you and the child use Making It Right when both of you are calm, with a reflection page. Children color their week on the strip, you count the class on the tally, and the home note tells families which rung you are practicing.
Built For The Child Holding The Page
Every student page has a big "My name" line, one short direction with a picture, and room to circle, color, write or draw. Pictures are friendly and simple. The posters and cut pages come in a color set and an ink-saver set, and everything reads in black and white too.
Type In, Or Print
The name lines, the two blank ladders, the write-on rung cards, the name markers, the reflection lines, the class tally, the home note and every notes area are type-in fields in any PDF reader. The posters are print pages. You can also print any page and write by hand. Print at 100 percent with fit-to-page turned off. This is a fillable PDF; it is not a Google Slides or PowerPoint file.
