About this resource
Praise that lands the same day is the praise that counts. This pack gives you 30 "Caught Being Good" tickets on four cut sheets. Each ticket has a name line, a date line, and room to write what the student did (the blue sheet prints a sample behavior and leaves one line to write your own). Type into them on your computer, or print and write by hand. Then cut on the solid lines and hand one over.
EVERYTHING INSIDE (15 pages)
For The Teacher
- Start Here, a how-to page, and a terms page
- Four cut sheets, 30 tickets in all: 6 on the teal sheet, 8 on the gold sheet, 8 on the blue sheet with a sample behavior printed on each ticket, and 8 on a black-and-white ink-saver sheet
- A weekly tally with 15 rows (students, Monday to Friday, and a total column)
- A filled example: six tickets for five invented students, and a class tally for one invented week, with every number checked against the tickets
- A phrase bank: 16 starters in four groups, each ending in a blank you fill with what you saw
- A family note with fill-in lines and a short checklist
- A credits and thank-you page
For The Student
- A ticket chart with 20 circles to color, one for each ticket, and two lines to write
What This Is, And What It Is Not
It is a fillable PDF: click a line and type, or print and write. It is NOT a slide deck or a document file. It prints in color or in black and white. The pictures are clip art from Whimsy Clips and Educlips. There are no characters and no brand names. It is not a grade, a behavior plan, a consequence system, or a drawing. The school's rule for what a ticket earns is a blank line on page 3 for you to write, or to leave blank. Every student in the examples is invented, and the examples say so on the page.
Who This Is For
Teachers, aides and specialists in grades K to 5 who want to name what a student did, right after it happens, with a ticket the student can keep. One classroom license.
