About this resource

EVERYTHING INSIDE — 19 pages

A data binder cover that works with the binder behind it. A cover and a spine make it look finished; the tabs, the contents page, the student cover sheet and the goal pages make it usable at the meeting table.

ALREADY HAVE THE FREE COVERS? Free Binder Covers Editable, also in the Bright Path Sped store, is a free cover, spine and tab set for any binder. This file is the data binder itself: it adds the data-section tabs and the working pages that go inside.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF: type into the covers, labels, tabs and pages, or print and use a pen. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Slides, Google Docs or PowerPoint file, and you cannot drag the boxes around or restyle the pages. The graph is a printed grid: plot your scores by hand.

It is the working paper for your own data binder. It does not say what to measure, what a score means, or who may see the binder; those are your IEP team's and your school's decisions, and the school's rule gets a blank line. No student information is filled in. The example student is invented and says so on the page.

Pictures on the divider tabs are Google Noto Emoji (Apache License 2.0), credited on the last page.

Who This Is For

Special education teachers, case managers, resource teachers and classroom teachers who keep student data in a binder, and the paraprofessionals and substitutes who help write it.
