About this resource

Nothing about a caseload should live in anyone's memory. Not the date the invite went out, not which family prefers email in Spanish, not whether the consent form ever came back.

This binder is the organization layer for a case manager's year, as a fillable PDF: the binder itself, the year's calendar, the trackers that move each student from data pull to finalized plan, the logs that prove it happened, the meeting paperwork, the file audit, and the checklists that open and close the year. Type it once in August or keep it on a laptop all year; every cell is a type-in field.

Open And Close

Plus one invented fifth grader's row from every tracker and log, filled in, so you can see what a year looks like when nothing had to be remembered.

How It Fits With The Rest

The IEP At A Glance Editable holds the one-page snapshot per student and the caseload minutes tracker this binder's service log feeds. IEP Goal Tracking holds the data behind the progress reports. This binder is what sits around them.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a line, a box or a table cell, type, press Tab to move on, and Save As with the school year in the name. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc, or an Excel workbook; it does not calculate, sort or send reminders. Prefer paper? Print it blank; the fields print as ordinary rules and cells.

It is not legal advice and it asserts no timeline. Every "due" column is filled in from the IEP and from the timelines your district gives you, and the pages leave a line to write those timelines down. Nothing on any page asks for health information.

Who This Is For

Special education case managers, resource and self-contained teachers who carry a caseload, and the new teacher who was handed twelve files and a binder with nothing in it.
