About this resource

How many minutes does the IEP say, how many has the student actually received, and how many are still owed today? This is the balance tracker for that question: copy the minutes from the IEP once, count the weeks of service, log what was delivered, and the balance is one subtraction.

It is different from a session log. A service log records each session as it happens. This file starts from the minutes written in the IEP, keeps a running balance for each student, runs a make-up minutes log, and turns the balance into minutes per week to close it. Use it beside a session log or on its own.

What This Is, And What It Is Not

It is a fillable PDF. Open it in a PDF reader, click a line, a box or a cell, type, press Tab to move on, and Save As once per provider or per grading period. It works offline with no account or subscription. It is NOT a Google Sheets file, a Google Doc or an Excel workbook, and it does not add the minutes for you.

It is not your district's compliance form and not a statement of any rule. Nothing in it says which missed minutes must be made up, by when, what counts as a delivered minute, or what balance calls for action. Each of those is a blank line you fill in from your district's own policy. Example students are invented.

Who This Is For

Case managers, resource and self-contained teachers, and related-service providers who need to know where the minutes stand before a meeting or a progress report, without building a spreadsheet.
