About this resource

Two penguin crafts and the story of Tacky, in one print-and-go unit: a penguin in a bright flowered Hawaiian-print shirt and bow tie with orange feet, in a boy colorway and a girl colorway. Children color the pieces, cut them out, and glue each one on its faint twin, so the match is by shape and size. Then they put the story in order and write "Tacky is different because ..." Every student page has one short instruction with a picture, so a paraprofessional can run the center from it too.

Made for use with the picture book Tacky the Penguin. The book is not included: read your own copy first. The story is named only as four short events in our own words, all pictures and pages are our own, and this resource is not affiliated with or endorsed by the author, illustrator or publisher of the book.
